PowderPuff 2026 Event Details
-
We're keeping the competition fierce, the teams fair, and the morning FUN!
6 teams of 10 players competing in a bracket-style flag football tournament.
8 vs. 8 gameplay, with two substitutes per team rotating in so everyone gets plenty of playing time.
Two 10-minute halves per game, with every team guaranteed at least one game.
All athletic abilities welcome, from former athletes to first-timers.
One coach allowed per team. The coach can be anyone your team chooses (a husband, a child, a teammate, etc.).
New drafting rules this year to create more balanced teams and keep the competition interesting.
Everyone gets a chance to play!
No need to organize your own team. We'll handle the draft! Just tell us your athletic ability and whether you'd like to be considered as a captain when registering.
-
Last year's PowderPuff Classic raised more than $9,000 for the National Ovarian Cancer Society, and we're ready to beat that number in 2026!
This year, we're playing for something especially close to home: the Children of Madison Scholarship, a new Moms of Madison initiative dedicated to supporting children right here in our community.
Your $100 player registration helps support this important cause, and we're encouraging every player to go one step further by raising an additional $100 in donations or sponsorships from friends, family, neighbors, or local businesses.
Let's see what 60 Madison mamas can do together!
-
PowderPuff is a family affair! Bring your husbands, kids, friends, and neighbors to cheer from the sidelines.
We'll have morning refreshments, plenty of hometown spirit, and MAD MERCH available for purchase.
For our players: We're asking every mama to bring one bottle of prosecco for mimosas (21+ only) OR one bottle of juice to share. Please leave the giant coolers at home!
For the kids: We're inviting each child to bring a new, unwrapped toy or warm winter essential, like gloves, hats, socks, or slippers, to help local families in need this holiday season.
-
The fun doesn't end when the final whistle blows! We're heading straight to Grand Apizza in Madison from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM for our official PowderPuff After Party!
Last year, we took over Grand with dozens of pitchers, piping-hot pizzas, and a packed house of players, families, and friends. And we're doing it all over again!
Win or lose, bring your whole crew and join us for some well-earned pizza, drinks, and post-game celebrations. Because what's PowderPuff without the after party?
-
Registration is open for just 60 players and closes November 14, or sooner if all spots are filled.
Your $100 registration includes your spot on a team and an official PowderPuff 2026 sweatshirt.
When registering, you'll select your sweatshirt size, rate your athletic ability, and let us know if you're interested in being a team captain.
Grab your spot, start talking smack, and get ready for kickoff!

We're here for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a great cause. Keep it fun, keep it fair, and remember, everyone plays!
8 vs. 8 Flag Football: Six teams of 10 players will compete in a bracket-style tournament. Eight players take the field at a time, with two substitutes per team. No tackling or intentional physical contact.
Game Time: Each game consists of two 10-minute halves with a brief halftime.
Everyone Plays: Coaches must rotate players throughout the game to ensure all 10 teammates get meaningful playing time. No one rides the bench!
Team Draft: Players will be assigned to teams based on self-reported athletic ability to keep the competition balanced. No preselected teams.
Team Coaches: Each team may have one designated coach to help organize plays, manage substitutions, and keep things moving. The coach can be anyone chosen by each team.
Basic Gameplay: A play ends when the ball carrier's flag is pulled, they step out of bounds, or a pass is incomplete. No pushing, tackling, blocking, or rough play.
Scoring: Touchdowns are worth 6 points. The team with the most points at the end of regulation wins.
Sportsmanship: Referees have the final say. Play hard, be kind, and save the trash talk for your friends!
Most importantly: You don't need to know football to play football. All skill levels are welcome, and having fun is mandatory!
